About the Springfield Masonic Center
What is the Springfield Masonic Center all about? The Cornerstone for the Springfield Masonic Center was laid in 1924 and the building was completed in 1927. The architect, Howard Dwight Smith also designed Ohio Stadium at The Ohio State University. A sister building to the Springfield Masonic Center is the Masonic Center in Dayton, Ohio. The Center is currently home to ten different Masonic bodies or organizations that seek to build better citizens, support individuals in need with various outreach programs and provide a friendly social atmosphere to its members.
This classic design holds a lot of surprises for any event that you can envision. The Ballroom on the first floor has the ability to seat up to 350 individuals for a banquet meal with ample space for dancing and other activities. Various other rooms are available that can seat 20 to 1000 people for Wedding ceremonies, recognition events, anniversaries and other similar events. We feel we can offer nearly anyone a wonderful venue for their event.
The Springfield Masonic Center is looking forward to hearing from you with questions about how we can help put on your event. Tours and phone conferences are welcomed. As is often said the only bad questions are the one we don’t ask. We are interested in providing the best environment for fantastic events and are open to suggestion. We will work hard to make your event memorable and successful.
In-house food catering is not available but a wide variety of catering vendors are available in the region. The kitchen equipment on site at the Center should provide a good foundation for your caterer to prepare and serve a wonderful meal. Please feel free to contact any of the preferred vendors on the Vendor list on this Webpage. These companies have indicated a willingness to provide you with a great meal with in our facility. A recent decision from the Grand Lodge of Ohio Masons now allows for the service of alcoholic beverages in non-Masonic areas of the Center. These areas are on the first and ground floors. The Event Sponsor and/or the Caterer must provide documentation of an Alcohol Liability insurance policy with the Springfield Masonic Center named as a secondary insured.
